In 2014 the location of college football bowl games
moves outside the United States to the Bahamas as
Thomas Robinson Stadium hosts the Popeyes Bahama
Bowl. The annual game will match teams from
Conference USA and American Athletic Conference.
Thomas Robinson Stadium was built and opened in
1981. It has a seating capacity of 15,000 that is
expandable to 30,000. The stadium is named after
Thomas Robinson, a track and field star that
represented the Bahamas in the Olympics.
