The 2013 season marks another chapter in the short
history of the Georgia State Panthers football
program. Founded in 2010, the team makes the jump to
the Football Bowl Subdivision and the Sun Belt
conference this year. Georgia State plays all home
games at the Georgia Dome in downtown Atlanta.
Primarily the home of the Atlanta Falcons (NFL), the
Georgia Dome has a seating capacity of 71,228.
However, only the lower bowl is used for Panthers
games unless demand exceeds the lower deck seating
capacity of 28,155.
